UCLA Injury List Shrinks To Three

By Bruin Basketball Report

The Bruin basketball team only had three players out today at practice after as many as six players had been out at one time.

Senior guard Michael Roll (right ankle), sophomore guard Jerime Anderson (left groin) and freshman forward Brendan Lane (left ankle) all missed practice today. However, all three student-athletes are slated to return to practice on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, just two days before the Bruins’ first exhibition game in Pauley Pavilion against Concordia (Nov. 4).

Sophomore center J’mison Morgan (left knee) and sophomore guard Malcolm Lee (concussion) both returned to practice this week.

Lee returned to full contact practice on Tuesday (Oct. 27) as did senior forward James Keefe (left shoulder). Morgan was limited to non-contact drills today and will be revaluated tomorrow.

Bruins Still Plagued By Injury Bug

By Bruin Basketball Report

While UCLA received good news when both freshman forward Mike Moser and James Keefe each returned to practice last week, the Bruins suffered another set back when senior guard Mike Roll injured his right ankle during practice.

Roll will see the doctor on Monday, at which time his length of inactivity will be determined.

UCLA still has five scholarship players on the inactive list for practice.

Sophomore center J’mison Morgan (left knee), sophomore guard Jerime Anderson (left groin), sophomore guard Malcolm Lee (concussion) and freshman forward Brendan Lane (left ankle) have all missed the last week of practice.
Each player is to be revaluated on Monday and their status for practice will be determined then.

Senior post player James. Keefe is ahead of schedule and is slated to return to 100 percent of practice with full contact at the team's next practice.

UCLA returns to practice on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. after a regularly scheduled day off on Monday.
