Several prospects, including top-30 guard Josiah Turner and top-50 forward LaQuinton Ross, said they are no longer hearing from UK. Turner guessed that's because of "all the commitments they already have. They get all good players." Courier-Journal 6/21
Quinn Cook of Baltimore says Kentucky “definitely” remains on his list even though it has a commitment from Indianapolis point guard Marquis Teague. “I have developed a relationship with the (UK) coaches, and coach Cal (John Calipari) just wins,” Cook said. “He puts guys in the NBA, and he plays guards. He lets guards control the offense. Look at all the good guards he has had — John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, Tyreke Evans, Derrick Rose.” One reason Cook is not worried about Teague’s commitment to UK is because Calipari used Wall and Bledsoe together last season and both are projected as first-round NBA draft picks with Wall slated to go No. 1. I finally caught up to Julian Royal today. Royal is a 6′7 forward out of Alpharetta, Ga. who is ranked No. 52 nationally by Rivals.com. He just finished up working out at the NBA Top 100 camp over the weekend. Check out what he had to say....Q: What schools are showing the most interest right now? A: Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Northwestern, Ohio State TideSports 6/23
Quinn Cook is the fourth-ranked point guard for the Class of 2011 and is considering many of the nation's top college programs, including Villanova, UConn, North Carolina, St. John's and Kentucky just to name a few. Cook, who is currently taking part in the USA Under-17 training camp in San Antonio, is finding that college recruitment can come in many forms. USA Today 6/24

UCLA doesn't even have that many scholarships to give out next year (like 2 or 3), so why are all of these super stars even listed here??
Like every college, you must show interest in many so if your Plan A doesn't pan out, revert to plan B, Plan C, and so on... I'd like to see us get back into the fold where the Plan A's start coming our way again (Love, Holliday, etc).
Take the basketball players out to the College Baseball World Series and show them how winners do it! Go Bruins!!!
Besides turner, none of these recruits even has Ucla as a place of interest. Why are they included? GOOOOOO Bruins!!
I heard from close sources that CBH might not give big Josh Smith all the minutes he is expected to get and that Reeves might even play the 5 again with Brendan Lane starting at power forward..
Reeve Nelson is not a 5. Heck, he's barely 6'6 in height.
he is listed at 6'8'', but he started at the 5 position for the majority of last season and he still overpowered his opponents.
He may do alright depending on the competition, but in the long run we need a bigger guy there. A college 6'8" is 6'6" in the NBA. and 6'8" is still small for the 5 spot.
Off Topic...Love that the Lakers are looking at Matty Barnes and Earl Watson, Two of the guttiest players for UCLA in the past Ten years...
This is definitely the year to shop for free agents...the draft sucked. Wall, Turner, Cousins...Any other year, these guys are late 1st rounders.
Nikola Dragovic is playing on the New Orleans Hornets Summer League team!!!!!
What are you talkin' about? April Fools was a couple months ago and Halloween is not till October.
Look it up then...
Maybe he's not the greatest player, but I tip my hat to any Bruin that played all 4 years. Hope he finds success. What the hell did you guys do at ucla, besides take up space at the Deedee Reese counter?!
Actually it is Diddy Riese and boy would I love to open up a franchise at just about any major college campus around. The low price, high volume is a hit on both sides of the fence!
Anybody want to lay down some cash and invest with me? Heck, I might even put one around that hell-hole SC campus!
Yeah...here's $100,000.00. Let me know when we turn a profit.
Michael Roll just dropped 10 points for the Raptors summer league team!!! Way to go Mike!! Go UCLA!
