Malcolm Lee To Have Knee Surgery
By Bruin Basketball Report
UCLA basketball coach Ben Howland announced starting guard Malcolm Lee will undergo arthroscopic surgery next week to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.
The sophomore injured his knee while playing basketball over the weekend. An MRI confirmed the injury on Wednesday.
It is anticipated Lee will be away from workouts and basketball action for at least six weeks.
"Malcolm has been performing very well during our off-season workouts," Howland said in a statement. "We expect he will be better than ever following the surgery."
Lee averaged 12.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game for UCLA last season.

SF- Tyler Honeycutt 9.5 ppg, 8 rpg, 4.5 apg
PF- Reeves Nelson 13 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1 apg
C- Josh Smith 7 ppg, 6 rpg, 1 apg
SC fans are not allowed on here...
more like 8-12 weeks according to another UCLA site....come on now...
What a frickin way to start a holiday....I'll drink extra now...
How am I an SC fan? I am just predicting the stats for next season. And I'm being generous too.
be positive at all times
I'm just trying to predict as best as I can. It just gets frustrating when the greatest college basketball dynasty goes 14-18 last year...
I agree. Stay positive. Nothing worse than pessimism when you have no idea how the players might improve.
Man, it looks good to have some size on our commit list.
53 points from the starters? I think you're relying pretty heavily on the bench (20+ points). That is not unreasonable from Lane, Stover, Lamb, Anderson, and company.
Out of all these top notch players...someone will rise to the top and have a breakout year...so expect one person to be in the 20ppg area!
