Bruin Injury Updates: Nelson and Lane

By Bruin Basketball Report

Freshman forward Brendan Lane sprained his left ankle on the last play at the end of practice yesterday.

Lane is in a boot and did not practice Wednesday and will be a game-time decision when the Bruins take the court against Oregon State on Thursday.

Post man Reeves Nelson has not been medically cleared to play in either home game this week against the Oregon schools.

Nelson had successful laser retinopexy on Feb. 22, 2010 to repair a slight retinal tear in his left eye.

He will be revaluated early next week for the Bruins' final regular season road trip at the Arizona schools.

Another injury....trainer/nutritionist needs to be fired. It's pretty sad that malcolm lee is our rippest player out there.

This has been a train wreck from start to finish. Stick a fork in it already fellas. Ugh... when will this season/nightmare end?

What are the odds of the Bruins finishing 15-15? The Swami can see sweeping the Oregon schools, even without Nelson and Lane provided that Bobo steps up bigtime (and perhaps Moser surprises us), but can we win at either of the Arizona schools?

It wouldn't have mattered if they 2 guys are healthy..
No NIT this year,
No NIT nxt year as we lose our scoring and add youth...
The recruiting past has caught up to us.
Bye Bye Howland

Swami:
Lane can be a keeper if he adds some game. He looks silky smooth but needs a chance. Bobo, steps up big time? Dont think so? Moser is the X factor. already know what Nelson and Honeycutt bring; if Lane and Moser can give us 20 minutes and 10 and 5 each night we will be okay nexct year. Smith is not the answer next year. He is out of shape.
Good teams have point guards and we dont have one. Lee a 2? He is not a pure shooter either.
They will lose the last three games and limp in and be one and done in Pac 10 tournament.
Hope for next year.

Jammer - good calls. Lane looked very good, but need to get more physical. He needs to want that rebound like Honeycutt wants that rebound, like Love wanted that rebound. I'll give you my take on Smith after I see him play a few games.
