J'mison Morgan Joins Walking Wounded

By Bruin Basketball Report

Having the day off from practice didn’t keep one Bruin from needing medical attention.

Sophomore center J’mison Morgan had some swelling in his left knee today and had an MRI this evening for which the results won’t be known until tomorrow.

UCLA Coach Ben Howland now has six scholarship players injured and unable to fully practice.

Morgan joins sophomore guard Jerime Anderson (left groin), senior forward James Keefe (left shoulder), sophomore guard Malcolm Lee (concussion), freshman forward Brendan Lane (left ankle) and freshman forward Mike Moser (lower back).

Morgan will definitely miss practice tomorrow, as will Lee. Anderson will definitely miss tomorrow and in all likelihood, will be out for one more week.

Lane will miss tomorrow’s practice as well and will be out for 1-2 weeks. Moser is still day-to-day, but is listed as doubtful for tomorrow’s practice.

Keefe will practice tomorrow for about 50 minutes, including some light contact drills for the first time for about 20 minutes.

to practice tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. after a regularly scheduled day off on Tuesday (Oct. 20).

How about these Bruins hit the weight room and bulk up a little. This is sad.

How about we keep in mind they are student-athletes? Also, maybe they are being grinded too hard in practice.

How about we give them credit. They are a young team, give them time.

Conditioning in the off season once basketball season has ended should be the name of the game for Ucla's men basketball team. Practicing on their fundamentals and playing like they scrap back east should be employed in Los Angeles. If you wish to make it to the next level (NBA), than you need to be prepared and college is the best way. Ucla's men basketball team, keep your head up high and accept defeat. Heal fellow bruins and be ready to play so you could win #12 basketball championship. If you are determined to win national championship, than play like one. Best wishes bruins!
