Kendall Williams Decides To Open Up Recruitment

By Bruin Basketball Report

According to multiple sources, 2010 recruit Kendall Williams has decided to open up his recruitment.   As a tenth grader Williams had given UCLA an early verbal commitment in November of 2007.

Williams, a combo-guard, led Los Osos high school in scoring with 22.8 points per game last season.

With Williams verbal de-commitment, it leaves Mater Dei's Tyler Lamb as the only 2010 recruit for Ben Howland's UCLA Bruins.

With all due respect, my sources tell me that Williams threw one too many tirades in various games being played and watched by college scouts, including Coach H himself.
Don't quote me here, but I wouldn't be surprised if Westwood didn't pull the plug on him!

I have seen Williams play. I think this might be a real hit to the bruins. Other schools will offer him quick and Ucla missed out.

UCLA don't need that. Trust me, UCLA has built a reputation that recruits need UCLA more than UCLA needs them. Go Bruins!

Right on, Josh. I agree wholeheartedly. Give me a coach and program with scruples. I don't care how good a kid is (who'd likely be one and done if he's that good, anyway). If he's a "me" guy, let him go elsewhere.
