Nikola Dragovic Undergoes MRI on Foot

UCLA junior Nikola Dragovic underwent a MRI on his left foot this evening after complaining of pain.
The MRI shows what appears to be a cyst involving the left foot and ankle and the 6'9 forward will undergo further evaluation.
Dragovic averaged 2.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 25 games last season. He played 9.2 minutes per game and was expected to challenge for more court time this year.
The Bruins begin practice on October 17 and play their first exhibition game on November 3 against Cal Baptist at 7:30 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.

That's a shame, I really feel for the kid. Let's not hope it is serious as we need a zone buster. We also need a practice player.
Not to put doom and gloom into Bruin Nation but, what happens if he has to redshirt...Does that mean we can add another ballplaya to the squad?
If it's a ganglion cyst, they can just stick a needle in it and drain it.
why would you do an mri for a ganglion cyst?
George: I think maybe they didn't know it was a ganglion cyst for sure until the MRI. Of course, I don't know if that's what he has but I don't know what other type of "cyst" one would have involving the foot.
Feel bad for the kid and we can definitely use him. Made those remarkable shots last year in that game against Oregon(think it was that one) and we couldn't have won it without him. Go bruins and sure hope we can do some more damage this year. Just am SINCERELY worried about our post game and hopefully James Keefe toughens up and attacks the basket. Am thinking good thoughts.
