Tyler Lamb Gives UCLA Verbal Commitment

By Bruin Basketball Report

Junior Tyler Lamb (video) gave UCLA his verbal commitment last week to join its 2010 freshman class.

Lamb, a skilled 6'5 190 lb shooting guard, is an excellent perimeter player with a great feel for the game. He had attended Colony High School in Ontario the past two years but is expected to enroll and play at Mater Dei this season.

He joins guard Kendall Williams, the Los Osos HS star who committed to the Bruins as a sophomore, in the backcourt. Both players can not officially commit in writing to UCLA until November 2009.

Lamb averaged 27 points, 4.8 assists, and 5.3 steals last season. The junior sharpshooter had also considered USC, Washington, Arizona, Louisville, and Memphis.

Great get. I've watched Lamb play and the kid can get out and play. He knows how to finish at the hoop and has a nice outside shot. The best thing....he still has two years to develop.
BTW, Lamb is probably closer to 6'6 now and may still a grew a little more!

Don't you just hate it when people say "great get"? Great get? This is a young making a decision on where he will attend school and play basketball. It's not just a "get". Jeez.

Don't you hate it when people say "this is a young making a decision?" Learn some grammar, geez.
Great get, by the way!

A super-duper great get. I mean a really great get. A get that is truly great, i.e. a truly great get. Does it "get" any greater than a great get. I don't think so. Just great........................get.

This is a terrific development for Mr. Lamb and for the Bruins. The program is on a roll, and high quality elite-level kids are lining up to play for CBH. Bruins, baby!

"Great get" is for people that don't pay attention to CBB and just see a recruit is coming and think we have a "get". Don't let it bother you.

I am super excited that Tyler decided on UCLA. Our future looks so bright with all these stellar athletes coming to UCLA. No one is mentioning that all these signee's are also have great character as well as skills. Have you seen Jrue in person or in an interview? I would jubilant if my daughter brought home such a well spoken, down to earth young man.
As far as calling students gets, I don't think he was meaning to be insulting, just excited and a poor choice of words.

I think we now have a coaching tandem (basketball and football) that will have us at an elite level for many years to come. Go, Fight, Win!

Tyler Lamb is like a more athletic Aaron Afflalo, and we all know how he turned out for us. Good job CBH and congrats Tyler

Congrats on a "great get" Coach! My only concern now is that it looks like Avery Bradley is headed to Texas! That means we have to make a solid push for Michael Snaer and the other "Tyler"- Honeycutt. Abdul Gaddy sounds like he might work out too if he doesn't like the coaching at Arizona. And he'll have to play two years before departing for the NBA!
I'm disappointed about the possibility of Bradley going elsewhere, but I'm excited about the possibility of Gaddy coming to town! Then, Jrue can slide over to SG if we can't land another one.
Things are really looking up in Bball and Fball!
Keep it up Bruins!

I read, of course, far from my theme. But still, you can cooperate with you. How do you treat yourself to trust management?
