Darren Collison Press Conference Scheduled For Saturday

UCLA third-team All-American junior Darren Collison will hold a press conference tomorrow at 2:00 PM PT to announce his future basketball plans.
Collison played in his third consecutive Final Four tournament this year helping the Bruins get to the semifinal game. He was second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.5 points per contest while handing out 3.8 assists. The 6'1 point guard also shot 52.5% from the three-point line.
Despite having a disappointing NCAA tournament this year, it is widely expected that Collison will enter the draft without an agent in order to test the waters. Some scouts project Collison going anywhere from the late first-round to early second in the draft.

This is the wrong time for him to leave. Last year would have been great. Next year much better. He got schooled by Rose on national television. He needs to build more muscle, get quicker (not faster), and wait another year. Bad time to come out if you are a PG.

Hansbrough's sticking around for his senior year. How about you staying one more year, winning a National Championship with a combination of some of our present guys who will end up not going pro and the new hot freshmen, beating Tyler out for POY, and becoming the no. 1 pick next year and being much more prepared for the next level?

Be happy that this many people nationwide are declaring. The more players that do so, the more UCLA players slip down the draft and more likely to return.
As of this point, I think there should be around 20 players ahead of Klove who are more ready to play at the next level.
you must be kidding me DB, how is there 20 players ahead of love... love will be a solid bench player his first year, probably better numbers than affalo and farmar combined in their rookie year... since he will be a bench player he won't be playing heavy minutes, therefore his lack of fitness will not be heavily exposed... he has solid fundamentals, rebounding, post moves... a team like phoenix would rather have love now than have shaq lagging
There are far better prospects out there than Love thats why. Klove has great fundamentals no doubt, but unlike Duncan, Klove does not have the speed, height, or defensive prowess. He will be a powerforward in the NBA and will be too slow and not athletic enough to be a great contributor.
IMO at the point he is right now he wont do much at the next level. I also wouldnt compare a 1 year guy in college against a for sure NBA hall of famer.
Shaq even at his age will still smack Klove down.
Teams will just make it a faster game when Love is on teh court. Either that or their powerfoward should be able to handle him. The game is far too fast in the NBA for him to handle right now.
If he gets that tired easily on a 35 sec shot clock game with far lesser players in teh college, imagine the 24 sec with faster, bigger, and more athletic players in the NBA.
Id say there are many players better than him for the next level cause there really just are. If a player like Thabeet comes out, Id rather draft him over Love because of his size, speed, athleticism, and potential. You can teach fundamentals but you cant teach god given talent. Dont get me wrong, I love to see Bruin players do well at the next level, but really I just dont see this happening right away for him.
If he is lucky, he goes to a team that played like UCLA which is slow, half court game. Teams like a San Antonio which he wont be relied much upon. If he however goes to a young and athletic team, forget it. Young teams tend to play the game faster which does not suit his style.
Anyways only time will tell how it goes here but he is a tweener that will probably need to lose 20 pounds or so and be at about 245-250 and work on his stamina and agility.
