Interview with Jrue Holiday and Video Game Highlights

By Bruin Basketball Report

TAKKLE, a social network for high schools sports, provides this post game interview with UCLA-bound Jrue Holiday of Campbell Hall High School.  Holiday talks about going to UCLA and reveals which NBA player he'd like to play one-on-one against in basketball. The second video is a highlight of a Jrue Holiday/Campbell Hall game.

Ive seen a couple of videos of JH and this one really shows his ability to handle the ball. Can't wait to see how he plays for us next year.

What a terrific kid! UCLA is getting another team-first player in Holiday. LOL at who he wants to play against in the NBA.

Amen! He does look a lot like "The Baron"! I'm glad they have adjusted his hgt/wgt up to 6'4 and 200lbs. If they said he still weighed 180lb, everyone else on that video would weigh 150lb.
Thanks for the video...Getting stoked anticipating the next batch of Bruin final four combatants!!!!
Is it too early to crack open a brewski?

The kid seems well spoken and articulate, unlike the guy who was interviewing him.

Great answers by Jrue, but that interviewer was pretty robotic and boring.

Interesting that the first few plays in the video show Jrue's defense and passing skills, as do others. He is going to fit into Howland's system beautifully, and with great Bruin teammates, he will not feel he has to do too much individually. Yes he seems like a great kid with a good sense of humor! As always, I want to know his GPA. From what I have seen of him on TV, he may possibly be the most (or one of the top 5) athletic players UCLA has ever recruited (and I go back 50 years in following the team closely.) My jaw dropped seeing some of the things he can do. He's like Russell Westbrook to an advanced degree!! The D-Wade comparison is better in my mind than to the Baron, because Baron is more compact and powerful, where Jrue is rangier and more flexible. But the basics: good fundamental skills, defense, leaping ability, shots from all ranges and angles, seeing the floor and being able to (with pleasure) hit the open man, and playing within the team concept are common to all the gentlemen in this discussion.

He exhibits patience. Not so much on the court as with the idiot who was interviewing him. Seems like a great kid.

O.K. that ranks high on the list of worst interviews (the interviewer - not jrue). That was a bit painful to watch. All that aside ... seems like a great kid for the program. Can't wait to watch him play here.
