ProCity Notebook: Sinclair Bruins In Sunday Action

In Nike L.A. ProCity action, a short-handed Sinclair Bruins' squad lost their first game of the summer league season to the Franchise Boys, 91-80, on a hot Sunday afternoon at West Los Angeles College.

With both Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and James Keefe absent from the lineup today, only incoming freshman Russell Westbrook represented the UCLA Bruins on the Sinclair club - he finished with 7 points on just 2 of 14 shooting and 3 rebounds.

The Franchise Boys, coached by Rico Cabrera, fields a talented team which includes USC's Greg Pruitt and Nick Young, Oregon's Bryce Taylor, and UCLA's Michael Roll.

Roll is physically bigger than he was last season and was aggressive while on the court, but he played only limited minutes scoring 5 points shooting 1 of 2 from behind the three-point arc.

Without Mbah a Moute and Keefe, the Sinclair Bruins could not match the firepower both Pruitt and Young provided their club this afternoon.

Thanks for the update. Does anyone know why Keefe was missing?

The Keefe family had a planned two week vacation.

Does anyone know anything about Darren Collison's summer hoops activities? I heard he is playing in the Say No Pro City league in Pomona. Do you know which team and what the schedule is?
